exam revelation :)
yesterday i had my biomaterials paper. it was so tough i could burn the paper and make it into a new biomaterial or something. and to make things worse, the girl sitting beside me was taking a different paper from me. 'twas Introduction to Asian ART! !*&$#? damn I miss art.
SIGH
and the day before biomat paper, I went to lab and spent 5 hours waiting for the machine to sputter a layer of ceramics of thickness 0.8 microns! the thickness of a strand of hair. FIVE HOURS man! 5 freaking hours to create a layer that is not even as long as hair. and even at five hours, it wasn't a perfect layer. think about it la. 5 hours for a centimeter of hair, can you imagine the time God spent on us???
and while i was cramming the notes on biomaterial, something else crossed my mind. I realised that there is NO material that can EVER perfectly replace the cells in our bodies. All the implants made of metals or ceramics or polymers can never replace the composition of our bones nor our muscles. They have tried, but the material implanted in the bodies are either too strong, or too weak. no perfect fit. even when an implant is meant to improve one's condition, say, contact lens, it doesn't escape from infections and is only temporary.
i guess it's always best when it's natural...
so c'mon people. Appreciate yourself kayy... you are beautiful no matter what people say. Smile and give yourself a hug.
so! back to studying now and let my brains do the talkin! c yA!
