the girls that we were

One of the things i love to do during the holidays is spring cleaning...the satisfaction at the end of it all but also the discoveries that simply stall the cleaning process itself...By that i mean, all the junks and letters that i have kept, which includes chocolate wrappers, name cards, ribbons and wat nots. Most importantly, there are some treasures I found that were downright hilarious.

For example, this is one of the trillion letters from fidz:

Dear Raihana,

Hullo!
On behalf of farena, I'm writing this letter coz i wanna write a letter, you see. You do not need to go to Beauty World coz you're sick and without precaution, you can melt. Honestly. Yeah right...

Soo, Farena & I will be going to Beauty World to buy your sacred nametack (or u'll melt u see) for u n u can go home and sleep (or u'll melt u c) soo that's all now. Sleep, rest in peace or u'll melt, u see.

Shut up fidza! don't want! shut up lah stope! dont want dont care!

i dono what she was thinking, this girl. That was prolly some 6 or 7 years ago and safe to say, that best fren of mine, is still quite the same that she is.

I cant really remember how many letters i have written to how many people but the one letter-writing relationship not many people know is this one person i quite admire. Following are some excerpts and let's see if you're smart enough to guess who she is.

First of all, want me to you wish "Birthday Happy". Begini sajelah Raihana...aku ni sebenarnye malas nak capai paper yg macam fancee2 gitut..padahal ada dalam laci tu haa..tu tuu, aku bukak laci nampak. Tapi..."takpelah tu". Matters what the contents inside, paper the not (!!!)

Begini sajelah Raihana, kita sebagai kerabat2 di Crescent nii wajib remember birthday2 antara satu with lain. Kerana inilah aku bagi kau one hadiah. Alaah..murah aje baru satu dolar ninety cents. Jadi kau tak yah lah risau2. Oops jangan tell si Farena. Hutang aku belum lagi settle.

Jadi birthday aku pun dah nak near. Scared i cannot see you. i mean, scared i you see cannot. sentence tu baru betul.

Erm aku pun tak tau ape lagi nak talk or write or watever. Jadi, u wish i BIRTHDAY HAPPY!!!
