something pedas
why am i on an eating frenzy i dono. today, i was craving for sth spicy. sth dat can make me go tsssssss...hot! like e banquet's tom yam noodles, like tong seng's shredded chicken noodles....aaahhh! the heat! BEST! but i settled for mee soto in skul instead. after 5 spoons of the cili padi kicap, my soup was pretty dark. it was definitely HOT outside LT1 but the mee soto was not even close to hot. i didn't get the tsssst effect i wanted though i sure was perspiring away.
i thought i could abandon the idea of eating something spicy but after a few hours, I got hungry again. how in the world? i have no idea. i din really think of banquet's tom yam noodles but i knew i wanted to go home so bad. beacuse i know my mom's gonna cook asam pedas after she took out the ikan merah. ikan merah is only good for tumis asam pedas just like how ikan bawal (pomfret) would make a good belado or curry. so i was certain asam pedas was the menu tonight.
i loved it when the bus ride home was a breeze. not many stops and not too long a wait. and yes of course, when i reached home, a whole big pot of RED asam pedas was waiting for me to dive in! and as i scooped some of the kuah, i beamed when i saw sayur asin added to the gravy. WUALAH! i love la siah! my mom has a thing for cooking asam pedas. it's different every other time. the last time she cooked asam pedas, she added tofu. or sometimes, it would be white broccoli. but it all sums up to SUPERB cooking.
took off my tudung and laid my table. rice with lots and lots of the gravy, sayur asin, fish and sambal belachan to add to the works. hah! erotic! it's not just the tssssssst, but the hmmmm the aahhhhh, the flushed cheeks, the perspiration and at the end of it all, swollen lips due to the heat! but it felt GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD u can see the starsss!!!yummylicioucsssss! excellent food at the comfort of ur own home.wad more can i ask for...
i can only laugh as i re-read my entry. i sound like some mother to be preggie with all e cravings. but reali, that was by far the best dinner alone!
and wat's for detox now? yoghurt drink and a bar of crunch choc.
excuse me while i indulge.
