fried fish belado
I've taken the pics and cooked this dish since eons ago and haven't had the time to upload for archival purposes. tsk. I simply need to clear the heaps of pics in my lappie so here goes the recipe:-
Fried Fish Belado
1. Fry the fish. duh! Preferably black pomfret, (ikan bawal hitam) with salt, tumeric powder and tamarind juice (asam)
2. Prepare the Sambal Belado
3. Tomatoes, Chilli and Onions. Variations according to taste. If you like more spicy, add more chilli. if u like it more tangy, more tomatoes.
But, ideally, it'll be 5 red chillis, 3 onions and 3 huge tomats. Blend them.
4. Cut thin strips of tumeric leaf, (daun kunyit). If don't have, can use daun limau purut (lime leaves)
5. Heat the pan with some oil
6. Throw in the leaves. Fry until the aroma rises
7. Stir in the blended chilloniontomats
8. fry until garing or dry
9. Salt and sugar to taste
10. Pop in the fried fish. mix them and voila! DONE!
Serve with hot rice and mushroom clear soup. yum yum. :P
and oh! You can do this with chicken, paru and whathaveyous...as long as u fry them first yo.
