Give thanks to Allah
For the moon and the stars,
Praising all day for what is and what was
Take hold of your Iman
Don't give in to syaitan
Oh you who Believe,
Please Give thanks to Allah
This was one song I heard in Aceh, introduced by a brother from Al-Kahfi, and among us, we were debating whether Michael Jackson sang the song...because if he did, his "hamd" is superb! I almost believed that he sang the song until Naajia convinced me it was Zain Bhikha. Naufal did too. So yea, I conceded that yeaaahhh it's Zain Bhikha. Just continue listening to my playlist, you can identify the similar voice. very soothing...at the end of it all, don't forget to listen to Abang Bo's one and only song. His voice also power gedegak!
I came to realise that, I've never really had any fancy for songs aired in the radio or bought ANY albums throughout my entire living life. Ok fine, I did persuade my mom to buy for me the "Raihan" CD. *hurhur* Other than that, I think I either downloaded more or burned CDs from friends. Cheapo? maybe. but i have very low loyalty to songs. I listen awhile and I get tired of them, especially those with no meaning. So i don't understand how Pi or Ita can simply memorise the lyrics! Waste of time I thought.
BUT!
I highly recommend you to listen, ponder, understand and MEMORISE the lyrics of the first song in my playlist okay. If need be, sing to your young children. I think they're good zikir starters.
Honestly, be grateful. for everything in life. be grateful for the rain. even though you can't ride your bike or wear pretty shoes, at least the rain keeps you cool. If you caught a cold, take it as a time to cleanse your sins. Think positive. always.
Recently, I had a conversation with a fellow sister (read: Nori *haha*) with regards to the Aceh trip and how it left us thinking of the blessing in disguise for everything that happened. It's mindblowing! It's very interesting to see myself thinking for every setback I faced day by day.
but i'm still learning. still learning to not get angry easily, ALTHOUGH whenever I think I'm losing my patience I was quick to think of Pak Rahmat's words. "Jaga lidahmu!"
Hence, silence is golden
I'm still learning, I will say that again. So I appreciate your constructive criticisms. thank you.
I will end with some words of the book that keep me thinking positively
Three friends you should keep:
Happiness, Peace and Willpower
Three enemies you must stay away from:
Being pessimistic, worrisome and quick to give-up
So start your week afresh! Good Luck!
