zainab punye pasal...
it's become a routine for me to go through my list of bloggerities and peek into what they've been up to. i will usually laugh along the reads of awin and co. and sometimes get inspired by the wise words of ratna. but when i hopped onto zainab's page, i was pleasantly surprised. *beams* my thanks to zainab for featuring "pottery barn" in her page, flaunting its gorgeous range of homeware. i love! i lOve! i LoVe!
i love the clean solid colours spreading across the rooms and how all things are arranged in perfect harmony. i mean, look at how they achieve symmetric art in each rooms. gorgeouss! for the uninformed, i'm a fan of home decor. HUGE fan. i buy home decor magazines and i can sit for hours reading them. and i found a new mag that got me hooked.
I envisioned my own home to be something similar to that in the OC (think Summer's bedroom!) or Rory's poolhouse. a touch of classic with a dash of contemporary. a bit of retro is fine too. dark wood to match soft, pastels on the sofas. clean lines and a dramatic chandelier. can you imagine?? do away the wallpapers, bring in the warm caramels. Timeless designs.
Oh! and i imagine having friends over for tea for two, buffet for the washingtons, or movie reruns, or luncheons with my minah thods at the comfort of my own home. This must have been the influence of my mum, Debbie Travis, Nik Manojlovich, Steven Sabados and now, Zainab...i mean pottery barn!
i can rattle on abt my dream home, but until it becomes a constructive reality, it will only remain a dream, for now...
look at the greeeeeen! i prolly wont end up sleeping there la
that chandelier is TO die for
with that i think the home i'm living in now needs a bad revamp. because it's getting mundane. seeing the same ol same ol all the time...
because also,
i want this!
pi and athin can happy happy sleep somewher else. heh.
Next up?
Zara Home... Hehe
after i finish my projects... (T_T)
