axion ke aziah...???!!!

my weekend has become so melayu! melayu malaysia that is! truly, i'm exposed to the languages of the rumpun melayu, indonesia and malaysia...instead of learning german, i learnt more of bahasa indonesia and malaysia...the dialects and wad nots. it's interesting...and confusing! cuz when i speak to malaysians i tend to speak with an indon accent whereas when i speak to indonesians i tend to be kemelayu-melayuan...scheisse! (shit)

so anyhow, i went to Essen on sat to visit a Malaysian who had juz undergone an operation to remove the metals in his leg, yea literally. Man! He talks alot! like perbualan yang bernas, sila! think politics, think singapore vs malaysia...but i was glad he loved Singapore. He frequents our homeland and he likes my dear merlion city.

"Kalau nak tengok perancangan bandar yang baik, tengok jer kat Singapore. rumah jorang tersusun, warna warni...pandai jugak pemerintah singapor ehk, ye lah, kesian kan jorang tiap hari tengok tembok jadi jorang cat lah flat2 tu macam2 warna...jadik tak bosan kot..."

well i never tot of it dat way though..but i guess he was partly true. and as much as i dislike saying it, i keep hearing the word kot! it's juz soooo...umm, melayu! heh.

and den he added, in full political semangat,

"aku pernah dengar mahathir cakap, walau macamana singapor buat malaysia susah atau buat musuh pun, kitorang takkan putuskan air utk korang. yelah air tu kan basic kan...lagipun kita org islam...takkan lah kita kejam taknak kasi korang air..."

i felt weird talkin to him cuz he, being 3 yrs my senior was talkin with such depth yet still, calm and relaxed. and he uses "aku" "kau" which i feel was inappropriate. So i sticked with saying, "Rai rasa..." and i was confused at how to address him. but nontheless, he is suchan intelligent guy, wad with doing PHD at his young age AND performing haj for his 2nd time dis yr. SALUT la! yupp, they say it's cheaper to go haj from here. half e cost in singapore sebab the quota is small. yea...

anyways, he treated us to luncher, lunch cum dinner at Essen city and we had obst salat (fruit salad) and it was e best jus buah i ever had! totallz fruity i tel ya!

On sunday, i went to dortmund plakk for a belated raya gathering with the malaysians. and well, the word "kot" is endless cann??? they were telling kampong jokes which didnt seem to tickle me but i laughed anyway...hur hur. did not feel left out cuz i was amused by mus, this guy who very much resembles lan pet pet from scenario. he's funny. we din stay long too. by 5 it was dark n i got sleepy. got home and thought of starting on the report BUT i downloaded "the notebook" watched the whole of it, cried buckets and fell asleep
